About this module

Integrity is only ever tested under pressure, never in the calm.

Values stated in a mission document mean little until they're tested by a real decision with real costs, a politically unpopular stance, a colleague who needs honest feedback, a policy worth quietly resisting, and this module builds the specific capacity for holding those values under exactly that kind of pressure. Moral courage, treated here as a trainable practice rather than a fixed trait, becomes the quality that lets a teacher's leadership remain trustworthy when it matters most.

What you'll explore

Four shifts this module is building toward.

  • Why integrity is only genuinely tested under real pressure, never in calm or easy moments.
  • What moral courage actually requires, concretely, in a difficult leadership moment.
  • A recent or likely upcoming moment where this teacher's values and their actions may come under real pressure.
  • A realistic plan for holding integrity in that specific moment, rather than just intending to.

Three lanes of knowing

Understood, practiced, and explored.

Lane 1 · Science

Integrity under pressure

What's understood about how integrity and moral courage function as trainable practices, tested specifically under real pressure rather than in comfortable conditions.

Lane 2 · Practice

A pressure-rehearsal practice

A short practice of rehearsing a genuinely difficult values-based decision before it arrives, rather than improvising it under pressure.

Lane 3 · Meaning-making

Where has my integrity actually been tested?

Reflection on a real past moment this teacher's values were tested, and what they learned about their own moral courage.

Outcome

"I have a real plan for holding my integrity in the pressure moment I know is coming."
